Advanced Jazz Dance
The class is a study of advanced techniques and skills of jazz dance with emphasis on style, presentation and performance. Students are required to attend dance performances and write a report on them. A minimum of one report per quarter is required. Students are required to choreograph a combination in any style of jazz of no less than 64 counts. Students concurrently enrolled in Advanced Ballet are required to choreograph an entire dance routine and present it to the public where it will be adjudicated by a panel of judges.
Pre-requisite: Jazz C with a C grade or better or permission of instructor.
